By combining the images of the rose window of Notre Dame and The Empyrean (also called The Celestial Rose) from Dante's Divine Comedy by Gustave Dore, I hoped to express the mystical confluence of the physical earthly celebration of the Eucharist and the synchronous celestial celebration.
