The collective unconscious and the ego

The collective unconscious and the ego, Figure & Portrait
The collective unconscious and the ego
I was inspired by some lines of poems I wrote:
1. Her mind was a piano and she had the goft of playing it.
2. And without being tarnished let the sun and moon guide your way home, then let the stars welcome you in.
I was also researching archetypes and came across the fool. The fool is described to be the character that thrives in fairytales, whilst more cynical are smart characters never come close to the glory of the fool. The fool represents letting go and trusting life to go well for one. Carl Jung had a fascination for fairytales and he believed in a great concious, which contains signs symbols and patterns that all humans have access to.
I used acrylic paint on canvas to portray the relationship between oneself and the great conscious, incorporating symbols and a selfportrait.
