Lighting of the Cressets

My favorite time of year in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia is in the fall when they light the glowing iron baskets of fire called cressets on Duke of Gloucester Street. It's such a glowing wonderland! I knew pastel on a hand-textured board would achieve the soft feel I wanted to portray in this historical setting.
