Marcello

“Marcello” is a portrait of a handsome young man in which I used my my grandson as the model. I snapped its photo reference of him on a sunny, cool April afternoon in front of a row of cedar trees. I loved the way the light caused him to squint and threw shadows and dappled light across his face and neck as he smiled patiently down at me. This image just had to be painted.
