Breakwater Sparkles at Grand Marais, MN

Grand Marais, MN has an annual Plein Air festival every September. My husband and I decided to go for the first time as guests. We both took a workshop from Carl Bretzke on how to paint sunsets. We were able to paint and take beautiful pictures of this sunset as the smoke from Canadian fires had rolled in. The colors were gorgeous and the water sparkle was unbelievable! I painted this in the studio and hopefully I captured the wonderful mood of the moment.
