The cardinal’s cry which is often heard before seen, is so distinct and easily remembered. Whether familiar with an experienced birder or an amateur it's voice is unmistakable. It’s vibrant song is matched by the male cardinal’s vibrant color and all the more striking in a contrasting snowy landscape near a dark stream. Palette knife and silicone shapers were used to create snow and bark textures.
