Renaissance Mood

This piece was done in graphite and charcoal. This took around 230 hours to complete over 4 months and I'm quite proud of how it turned out. I wanted to push my limits in terms of achieving ultimate depth of tone and realism. I was aiming for a composition that had a Renaissance style vibe to it. I loved getting lost in the different types of skin pattern and texture. The hair was a unique problem-solving endeavor as well.
