Sobrina with the Wild Hair

This was a commissioned portrait of an Irish wolfhound, painting with oil on a prepared hardwood board. The goal was to capture the light on the dog’s wild and unruly hair. Sabrina was a show dog, but the owners let her grow her hair out between shows--and this is how they most remembered her.
