Crumbling Coast

This is a plein air painting done on sight in the Garrapata State Park on the California coastline between Carmel and Big Sur, California. This site is actually inside the Pt Lobos natural Reserve. I have been painting in the Garrapata area and Pt Lobos for over twenty-five years. This is one of forty to fifty paintings I have done there. Every year I go back the terrain has changed and I paint a somewhat different scene as the coast line falls into the ocean!
