Crumbling Coast

This is a plein air painting done on in the Garrapata State Park on the California coastline between Carmel and Big Sur, California. This site is actually inside the Pt Lobos Natural Reserve. I have been painting in the Garrapata area and Pt Lobos for over twenty-five years. This is one of forty to fifty paintings I have done there. Every year I go back the terrain has changed and I paint a somewhat different scene as the coast line falls into the ocean!
