Mending Fences

Mending Fences is a summer chore on the farm and one that continues throughout the year. This year was especially busy after hurricane Helene with downed trees and the loss of a calf. On this much brighter sunny day, watching my husband at work as I sketched and photographed brought joy and inspiration. After sketching and planning the painting in my head, I helped him finish up and headed home to start this work in my studio.It flowed and became a painting that I cherish.
