Autumnal Eclogue

The light of an autumn day in a sylvan setting with the nude is the theme of this work. Using mostly warm hues to portray the scene was part of the method to convey the soft and enveloping light of a warm autumn day. The title, "Eclogue" references the ancient Roman Poet, Virgil's work and incorporates the idea of painting being a poem and in this example, an ecological study as well.
