Lighthouse in the shallows

Acrylic on panel. Inspired by the calm reflection in the pool at the Coral Casino in my home town of Santa Barbara. Growing up here I am constantly inspired by all things water. This piece was particularly challenging as I was struggling with multiple perspectives. Not just in a linear sense but also the reality of what is organic, transparent, opaque, ridges and fluid. This painting presented more challenges than I had initially thought.
